Soverato, an ancient fishing village, famous for its white beaches and the turquoise shades of its sea: natural guardian of numerous archaeological finds, and of protected species such as the pipefish, the giant mollusc Tonna Galea and in particular the Hippocampus Hippocampus and the 'Hippocampus guttulus, the only two specimens of seahorses present in the Italian seas and symbol of the splendid town.
